How is net salary calculated in Czechia in 2026?

From the gross wage you deduct employee social insurance (6.5% pension + 0.6% sickness = 7.1%) and health insurance (4.5%) — 11.6% in total. Income tax is 15% of the gross wage (23% on the part above 146 901 Kč/month), reduced by the basic taxpayer credit of 2 570 Kč.

What does an employee cost the employer?

On top of the gross wage the employer pays 24.8% social and 9% health insurance — 33.8% extra. A gross wage of 40 000 Kč therefore costs about 53 520 Kč.

What is the minimum wage in 2026?

The 2026 monthly minimum wage is 22 400 Kč (134 Kč/hour). A full-time wage cannot be lower.
